Letter from Edmund Husserl written 16.03.1929

Freiburg, 16.III.1929

                       Dear Friend,

I would like to add to the letter written by my faithful secretary that on April 8, probably all of my valuable phenomenology friends and students will be here, including Professor Jean Hering and Koyré from France, etc. On a scientific level, it would be highly beneficial for you to join us and participate in the exchange of thoughts. The whole phenomenological circle and I would really miss you if you stayed away. Perhaps your government employer could grant you leave under these circumstances, as the above-mentioned French colleagues received leave. Warm regards,

Your old teacher, E. Husserl
