c The Editorial Office of our monthly magazine intends to organize a discussion meeting on March 9 of this year /Sunday/ devoted to the figures of thinkers, scholars and culture creators whose views and activities have had the most influence on our contemporary world. This means people of different time periods and different cultural circles, as well as different types of their influence on our present day reality, and we would like to discuss both those who are most often referred to and those to whom we could yet refer. However, in order to keep the conversation from being purely abstract, we would very much like its Participants to refer to their own experiences. This way the questions about the masters of our era, in addition to more general justifications, will be able to obtain individual, specific exemplifications.
c We predict that, depending on the suggestions we receive, the meeting will be divided into several thematic groups. We would like to publish the presented materials in a special issue of “Znak”.
c We would like to organize the meeting on March 9, 1969 in Krakow, but we are considering the possibility of organizing a second session in Warsaw, should it prove necessary.
c We would be very grateful if you could respond to our invitation as soon as possible, and especially for your suggestions on the figures to be discussed.
