Cracow, 18 October 1967
n Most Honourable Professor,
n I’m enormously grateful for your letter from Oslo. Essentially, I’ve turned to you to request a report on the academic session which we intend to devote to the memory of Edith Stein. As the site of the session, we anticipate Oświęcim [i.e. Auschwitz], since it was there that Edith Stein was put to death in the concentration camp. Due to your stay in Norway, we anticipate a January date for the session.
n Please accept expressions of my profound respect
n n n n x Karol Cardinal Wojtyła
