Honorable Colleague,

v         I have decided that the French Station Bulletin, which has been in preparation for a while now (unfortunately It has been postponed from month to month due to an incredible delay in the influx of the grant funds), will include several obituaries of well-known Polish scholars who recently died abroad. I have already received posthumous recollections dedicated to late prof. Hoyer and late prof. Jerzy Kowalski. Having been made aware of your lack of time due to of various deadlines in your last letter, I turned to prof. Alexander Birkenmajer with a request for an obituary for late Fr. Konstanty Michalski; I was mainly interested in Fr. Michalski’s participation in a common project with prof. Birkenmajer.
v         I never received an answer from prof. Birkenmajer, and now I heard through the grapevine about his indisposition. Therefore, I dare bother Honorable Colleague again and kindly ask you to save me in this difficult situation. If lack of time absolutely does not allow you to draft such a short (1 page in brevier print) obituary for Fr. Michalski, I would like to ask you to kindly indicate, or maybe even better, to entrust this task directly to a competent person who would be willing to emphasize in this concise article those scientific achievements of the deceased, which gave him international recognition.
v         I hope that the financial deadlock can finally be overcome and that the Bulletin will be printed soon after Easter. So, since the time is short, please forgive my pestering.

Best regards,
 v         S. Wędkiewicz

Honorable prof. Roman Ingarden
