Dear Władysław,
It’s turned out that on 27/10 the Erasmus of Rotterdam session begins here; I’m afraid, therefore, that there may be a conflict with the meeting of the Aesthetic Section. Anyway, it would be too late to organise this meeting on this day, because we’d have to wait for you to reply as to whether and when you could come. I therefore propose that the General Assembly of the Aesthetic Section of the Polish Philosophical Society should be held on 3 November at 6 pm, along with your lecture entitled ‘A definition of art’, as you suggested. This date is related to the fact that meetings of the Section have been held on Mondays for years and that, as a result, the audience already have this day reserved. But if it’s very important to you that your lecture should be at a plenary session of the Cracow Branch, it could take place at a joint meeting of the Section and plenum, and in that case on Saturday, 8 November. Please let me know which of these dates would suit you better.
Please send a few words by way of gracious reply. Cordial greetings and best regards to your wife
