Postcard from Władysław Tatarkiewicz written 20.05.1933
20/5/1933
Honoured Doctor, I’m hastening to thank you for sending me the offprint of ‘Kantstudien’ [Kant Studies]. At this time this is the only work of yours that I possess in my library, because previously I’d lent everything to S. I. Witkiewicz, who wished to study them.
At the same time, a request. A couple of months ago you gave a lecture at the P. Phil. So. [Polish Philosophical Society] on the aesthetics of music which (based on the title) interested me greatly. Well, wouldn’t it be suitable for Phil. Review? If you wish to print it, if it’s in written form, if it’s not too extensive for Review (1 ark[usz, i.e. 40,000 characters]), and does not require the placement of musical notation – then please send me the manuscript. In June I’ll start putting together the new issue.
Expressions of respect and a cordial handshake
Wtatarkiewicz
