v     The Editorial Office of “Znak” Monthly has decided to organize a discussion meeting devoted to philosophical issues of values.
v     We have become increasingly aware of the fact that this subject matter is the basis of a number of theoretical inquiries, and we also constantly encounter it in our daily lives when reacting to various issues we deal with in our journalistic activities. The meeting is also intended to be an attempt at a multi-faceted demonstration of problems falling within the domain of broadly understood axiology, therefore, apart from reflections relating to it directly, we would greatly appreciate addresses discussing its relationship with the foundations of ethics, aesthetics and other fields of knowledge and practical human activity. We realize that explaining all, or even some of the matters within this scope will not be possible in one session. Nevertheless, we hope that even simple delineation and specification of issues and raising awareness of existing theoretical difficulties can help in the search for their solutions, hence contributing to some progress in the field.
v     We would be very grateful if Honorable Professor were willing to accept our invitation and share your research results and reflections on the subject matter of values. The suggestions provided herein are, of course, not strictly binding and we would be very glad to have an opporrtunity to listen to any form of address related to the main topic of the session. We intend to publish the presented materials in a special issue of “Znak” devoted to philosophy of values.
