      v     Most Honoured Professor,

v     I hasten to inform you that the application of the First Department for your trip to Austria has been submitted for implementation by the Office of Foreign Scientific Co-Operation of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The institution Studienstiftung des deutsches Volks [German: Academic Foundation of the German People] is equally unknown to us, but I believe that the MSZ [Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych; Ministry of Foreign Affairs] will have information about it; we’ll consult with them.
v     As for support of your efforts at NBP [Narodowy Bank Polski; National Bank of Poland], unfortunately, the scientific departments of the Polish Academy of Sciences have no direct contacts with institutions of this type. Thus, I can’t advise you in this matter. However, I believe that the matter will finally be settled favourably by the NBP, as in many other instances of this type involving academic employees with which I’m familiar.
v     Wishing you improved health, I remain, respectfully

      v     S Żółkiewski
