Letter from Tadeusz Czeżowski written 17.04.1950

Toruń, 17/4/1950

                                   Dear Roman!

I cordially thank you for your letter of the 12th of this month, and for the effort of copying the contents of Dialectica. Given that issues 1 and 2 from volume II are missing, here’s one more request for you: namely, at the end of the 4th issue there’s an index for the whole year. Would you be so good as to copy this index for me (to make things easier, you can just mark what I’ve already received with a few dots)? From this index, I’ll reconstruct the contents of the missing issues.

I’d also be grateful to you for a bit of information on an issue which I’m acquainted with from newspaper reports, namely, the nomination of Prof. Wallon at the Jagiellonian University. Has he already arrived in Cracow? If so, when will he start his lectures, what department will he take over, what kind of relationship will his faculty have with Heinrich’s and Szuman’s?

It’s possible that a secondary school student, Wacław Bogucki, will contact you, requesting permission to use the books in the Philosophical Seminar. I’ve been corresponding with him for some time and sharing some pointers he’d requested concerning the study of philosophy. I’ve given myself permission to direct him to you, if he can’t get the books that interest him any other way.

                                                                                 Best regards and cordial greetings

                                                                                                                                          T. Cz
