Warsaw, December 27, 1964

       c               Honorable Professor,

c     I am sorry that I haven’t written back for so long, but I had to make sure – by communicating with Prof. Lissa – when our Committee session could take place. We set the date for February 25, 1965, of course, I reserve the right to change this date, in case any “unforeseen” circumstances arise. Of course, the choice of the topic of the work is entirely up to Professor, and the issue that you propose is really exciting, although I also do not fully believe in its more serious usefulness. I believe that both Porębski, PhD, and Professor Zonn would be interested in this. I have recently listened to a lecture on a similar topic by the latter.

c     On this occasion, please accept my best New Year’s wishes, may the prophecies of my friend from Lviv, prof. Płażka, who back in 1944 bode the next war for this year not be fulfilled… Fortunately, as far as I know, chemists are not professionally augurs and I assume that we will be able to calmly deal with more exciting and important matters, even just organizing our symposia.

My deepest respect
 c     /Ksawery Piwocki/
