To the International Scientific Cooperation Office of the Polish Academy of Sciences
c Thank you for your letter from October 17. I am glad that the passport is ready. I enclose herewith the completed form for the NRF visa, and at the same time I would like to kindly inform you that money for my travel costs has arrived from England today, I will pick it up on Monday, but I will only be able to buy the ticket in Warsaw, as Orbis will not issue me a ticket without a passport. I intend to come to Warsaw on October 23 /Wednesday/ for the PAS meeting. I will drop by the PAS Cooperation Office and find out if I can get the passport and buy a ticket. I am leaving on November 2 at 12.40 through Berlin – Hoek v. Holland 2nd class, only to Hoek in a sleeping car /supposedly you can buy a 2nd class seat in a sleeping car/. If you could order me a ticket for the given date in the Berlin-Hoek car upon receiving this letter, I would be very grateful.
c On this occasion I allow myself to report that I have also been invited to give lectures at the Universities of Leeds and Aberden.
