Letter from Władysław Tatarkiewicz written 17.05.1948

17.5.48 Cracow

Dear colleague, A few issues before leaving Cracow:

1. I’ll try to come to the General Assembly of the Polish Academy of Learning. Maybe do a meeting of the Commission then? For example, if the General Assem. is Thursday and Friday, 3 and 4 April, do the Commission on the 5th?

If the Polish Academy of Learning asks for the paper we need, maybe you wouldn’t mind submitting at least 10 arkuszy [40 000 characters with spaces]  to the Archives?

2. Are you writing to W. Bednarowski? If so, please, if you wouldn’t mind, ask him for an art. for the Review of English Philosophy 1939‒48, about prominent people, trends, books; I imagine it as 1/2 to 1-1/2 arkuszy and I want to have it for September. ‒ If you’re not writing to him, please give me his address.

3. Fr Bocheński wrote to me expressing his wish to receive the third volume of ‘Studies’. He adds: ‘Fr Woroniecki can pay for me’.

                                               I attach a handshake,

                                                               W. Tatarkiewicz
