Honorable Professor,
v I am very sorry that the PWN Financial Department, by mistake, sent Professor, on their own initiative, a letter referring to the letter of the LCP Editorial Office we have withdrawn. On behalf of the PWN Board of Directors I am asking your forgiveness for this unacceptable – especially towards you – oversight.
v Professor’s letter and payment have created a new formal and legal situation we are currently investigating and which I would like to consider in a personal conversation with Professor in order to find an appropriate way to settle this unpleasant matter.
v I am therefore kindly asking Professor to have such a conversation with me during your next stay in Warsaw or mine in Krakow.
v Once again, I regret this unpleasant incident and send you my deepest respect.
Adam Bromberg
General Director of the PWN Publishers
On November 3, 1963 Dir. Zabłudowski informed me in conversation that PWN cannot return the sum paid by me to the PWN account to cover the costs of the contract with Ms. Turowicz, however, he will try to make it right when publishing the next issue of Studies.
