Freiburg, 29.VI.1927

Dear Friend,

I was very pleased to receive your letter. However, it is difficult to take a guess regarding the timing. I will be in Freiburg in August. We are not planning a long trip to the countryside because I want to work here in my usual environment. Around the end of September or the beginning of October we will be vacationing in Switzerland for about two weeks. On the other hand, the younger colleagues Drs. Becker and Kaufmann will not be here during the break and it will be very quiet over here. During the winter semester, however, I will only be reading newer philosophers from Desc[artes] to Kant (as an introduction into transc[endental] philosophy). Professor Heidegger always spends his vacations in Todtnauberg, approximately 1/2 an hour outside of town, where he owns a small chalet (at an altitude of about 1,100 m). The town can be reached from here by postal wagon, plus a 1/2-hour hike. I will be happy to provide you with the typed manuscripts (over here).
